Danny's Writing

I write comedy for TV, radio and the stage, both for myself and for other people. I’ve been lucky enough to write jokes for some comedy legends, including Ronnie Barker, Joan Rivers, David Frost, Lenny Henry, Armando Iannucci, Dara O’Briain and Basil Brush and for hit shows like Dead Ringers and Mock the Week.

With Dan Tetsell, I’ve created some popular original shows such as We Are History on BBC 2, Young Dracula for CBBC (which won a BAFTA and an RTS award) and Paperback Hell for Radio 4. With Dan and Marcus Brigstocke, I created, wrote and performed three series of the Sony Award nominated The Museum of Everything on Radio 4.

Working alone, I have written the MTV Series Bluebell Welch and the Radio 4 sitcom Rudy’s Rare Records (now in its third series), as well as my own Radio 4 series Danny Robins Music Therapy. I am currently working on various other projects for TV and radio.

I also write journalistically across a range of subjects including travel, music, arts and football.
